Located just south of the Fraser River in the fertile Glen Valley, Myca Farms has quietly revolutionized cultivation techniques in a region renowned for mushroom production.

Founder Brian Thomas, formerly a mental health and addictions counselor, embarked on a journey to explore modern mycology methods, aiming to introduce innovative products to local markets and Vancouver's esteemed restaurant community.

In 2022, this vision materialized with the establishment of Myca Farms Ltd., expanding rapidly to become a cutting-edge facility featuring a fully equipped spore transfer lab, production center, and thousands of square feet of growing space.

What distinguishes Myca Farms is its essence, characterized by a profound commitment to fostering a sense of community, prioritizing quality, and a steadfast dedication to producing exceptional produce tailored for culinary excellence.

With a career spanning over fifteen years in mental health and addiction counseling, Thomas has dedicated himself to supporting individuals on their journey to recovery, envisioning an extension of this commitment through Myca Farms in the future by providing opportunities for healing and growth within the recovery community. Through initiatives such as mentorship programs, vocational training, and employment opportunities, Myca Farms aims to empower individuals in recovery to rebuild their lives and pursue long-term success, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment to create pathways for individuals to thrive beyond their past challenges.

Brian Thomas - Founder, CEO

Brian is the founder and visionary behind Myca Farms. You can find him at the farm in a lab coat or at farmers markets engaging in passionate talk of all things shrooms.

Steve Yzerman - COO, CFO

Steve is Brian’s right hand man at the farm. Steve’s career as a fine dining chef and restaurateur led him to a passion for mushrooms. You’ll see Steve running around the farm orchestrating operations.
